B737NG Recurrent 61.58

I am a non-current (due medical) B737NG Captain and would like to explore getting recurrent after I get my medical. I have not flown in quite a while and so I would need some sim time to get my scan back followed by a 61.58. Does anyone know the best place for this and what I might expect to spend? Thanks.

recurrency

I'm B737 and A320 qual'ed and I use Joe at Alliance (Sim Center) and Dave at Global for my PC's. Great folks to deal with. Been to many of the others and have a cup full of horror stories.

I can also recommend Ray at CPT for the B737, great guy. I think about $4k to $5k for the long recurrent and ground school. You can do yourself a favor by finding a cheap little sim to brush up the scan for a few hours and that will save a few bucks. Some of the schools have an older level B/C sim they will do this with.

Call them for a quote.

PM me if you need phone numbers or emails.

I should know the cost because I emailed them about it, but I don't have the email to hand so I won't stab at a guess as it was about a year ago.

Drop them an email. I'm sure they could setup a course to your requirements they were flexible enough with me.

In March of 2010 a B737NG recurrent at HPA was $5500.00 with a partner, $6000.00 without. Included were two (total sixteen hours) ground school sessions, one sim brush-up (four hours total for you and your partner) and the checkride (also four hours).

Global Sim Miami is around $6500 for 16 hrs of ground school, 6 hrs of Sim prep (for those who might need it from being non-current) and 3 hrs for the PC. This is the quote from this week. I guess if you don't need the prep then it will be a lot cheaper.

737 NG

I just recently used Higher Power in Dallas, to get my scan back also, worked well, good group of folks. Used CAE's simulator and AA Simulators.
Cheers

If you are looking to become an expat, you will need to have the waiver concerning circling maneuvers removed from your ATP. You can save $$$ by performing the maneuver when you accomplish your recurrent PC.
