KADS 15th November 2002 23:34

Tänker inte gå in på detaljer för de har gnällts om så många ggr här, men mitt råd e att hålla sig borta, but it's yer own choice...

Roadshow

If you meet our criteria, then join us in Copenhagen on November 20 at the Radisson SAS Globetrotter Hotel and discover the contract and permanent opportunites available in Ryanair.
Vi ses på onsdag ;)

Interesting page they have ... a roadshow in Copenhagen, and then look at the list below. What are the bets on "New Base 1&2" locations? They already operate out of Malmo, but that is not a base.

----

Bases
Ireland - Dublin & Shannon
England - Stansted, Luton
Scotland - Glasgow Prestwick
Belgium - Brussels Charleroi
Germany - Frankfurt Hahn
Italy - Milan Bergamo
New Base 1 - To be announced
New Base 2 - To be announced

----

The talks about RKE as possible (new) base, is it reinitiated?

Unfortunately I am short of 500 hours JAR25 time, I bet they are strict with that, also

----

Non type rated:

Successful non-type rated candidates will be offered employment subject to securing a 737-800 type rating from a training organisation approved by Ryanair.

----

ie pay your rating first, then come back and get the job when done!

KADS 16th November 2002 16:40

In my personal opinion it is such a "lure, decieve & exploit pilots" -organisation and it is a shame that the business is such that people are desperate enough to go down that route. A lot of pilots see it as a good way to get quality hours on a 73 to be able to later move on in their career, but the down side is that a lot of the airlines they later want to secure a job on, is suffering badly from the Ryan air competion. It is just a bit ironic ....

Atlantic-Coast 16th November 2002 18:38

Hey KADS!
Do you really know what's going on at Ryan or do you just have a strong meaning about it?
You know there is no jobs at SAS anymore , they give them all away .If you look at commuters like Widerøe and Skyways they pay half of what Ryan do?

So I don't know , have a secure job with good pay at Ryan or a job with pay that sucks.Or no job!
Myself I don't know, but from friends in England I get the impression that Ryan is OK!

lene12 16th November 2002 19:44

I agree with KADS, but understand all of you "low-timers" attracted by the 737-rating and the decent salary they are offering (I have heard that the pay isn´t that good, so I don´t know who to trust?!). I assume that most of you look at Ryan as a stepstone on your way to a major airline. Remember that Ryan is destroying your future job/life!!

I´ve heard enough about Ryan and how they operate and treat their employees, to say that I wouldn´t even consider applying. I would be delighted and proud to fly for commuters like Widerøes instead of contributing the destruction of European aviation, as we know it, by flying for companies like Ryan! But, as I said, I understand that many of you are interested - I might have been too 12 years ago with a fresh license and no job. Today I know better...No hard feelings!

Atlantic-Coast 16th November 2002 20:40

Scenario: You have a lot of time in aviation , you'd paid your dues.
You work for SAS , they give your job away!
Do you now go and work for Widerø or any other SAS group owned company for half the money you made before or do you go to Ryan and make near the dobble ?
Who's destroying the marked here ?
Is there gonne be a SAS in three years from now?
Do you think Southwest and Ryan will be around?

Remember Pan Am and Eastern?
Think about it?
