as350b3 problem
anybody got some coverage, text or pictures, about incidents/accidents with the tailrotor separation that can occur along the trailing edge?
cheers, tigerpic |
You (or a technician preferably) are supposed to check for cracks at both sides of each blade skin in the trailing edge tab area. The check should be done before first flight of day and/or every 10 hours. If you think there might be a crack, clean the area, and inspect with a magnifying glass. If you find a crack, the blade must be replaced, this according to FAA emergency AD 2001-26-55.
