Charter vs Regular

I just would like to know the differences between the charter flying and the regular airline flying? What are the differences? Pros and cons? What do you preffer? If you compare fx NAS vs Thomas Cook.sca(flying wise) ? Do you fly less or more? More fun or more boring? Just basically everything that you can come up with! =)

Don`t think the difference is all that large. Gear up, autopilot engaged, contact - autopilot disengaged:}:E. It really depends on the company`s route structure how much you can expect to fly. On charter airliens I would suspect the destinations to vary depending on season. The same with regards to nightstops.

But I`ve never tried it, so this is purely speculation.

One thing about charter flights is that ya are almost always going to some destination for the first time.
That gets old after a while as ya have to learn new things every day.
Approaches, frequencies, taxi-ways, ground handlers, hotels, etc, etc.

Some are easy, but Kazakstan and Nairobi and a few others stand out as a work load, especially if ya have weather and mechanical problems...:*

This here flying job can be so nice and easy if ya go the same place every time and know the airport and local conditions inside out. (In my case, Miami, New York JFK and Bombay...Hometowns)

Other than that, it is the same...(Younger and better looking stews on charter flights, huge benefit it is and yer lucky night just may be around the corner:E)

Aye, not so fast bro...The young and pretty stews may be males, or ball-bearing flight attendants if you will.

Well, things really ARE different around the world.... In SAS, charter means 10 hr days back and forth to a destination in the medditeranian with no night stop, while flying regular scheduled flights mean short days, wiht long nightstops in Paris, London, etc etc..

But not long ago we had separate charter companies and regular airlines. This boundary will dissapear, and airlines will be airlines, with some exceptions.

But what is best - god knows...? Maybe....?
