TUIfly Nordic looking for F/O

How long is the wait period to transfer to ARN base, perhaps a present employee can give a hint? Best of luck, I'm considering applying for sure :)

Any info on roster/ pay/ days off?
Tusend tack:E

Transfer to ARN is a tricky question as it is a function of many things such as retirements and fleet expansion. For some it took only 5 months.

Roster: Guaranteed 10 days off/month. Days off are actually much higher in reality as you will almost never be called for duty when on stby.
Return flights in the summer. Overnights in the Canaries/Thailand/Venezuela in the wintertime.

Pay: Fixed salary + fixed additionals. 75kr/blockhour in flight pay. Possibility for working on days off are good in the summer, with a nice compensation for your hard work :-)

"Guaranteed 10 days off/month. Days off are actually much higher in reality as you will almost never be called for duty when on stby."

So a "stby" day that they don't call you is "actually" a day off?

New one, but of it works for you...

Yes I call it a day off as the stby is only 4 hours ;-) Typically 05-09 or 15-19 local...

TUI Fly Nordic jobs, payscales and entry requirements.

This salary is not including the fixed extras which is a quite nice sum. As said before; "sectorpay" is 75kr/block hour.

berserker 3rd Aug 2009 16:44

TUI and T.Cook

So what is a good guestimate as starting yearly salary all extras included?
Anyone who can shed some light on thomas cook and payscale there as well?

I had 440k + "traktamente", march til december.

This with 2 months training, with reduced pay as You donīt fly.

Vwhy 4th Aug 2009 20:57

so what are they looking for? hours and type of hours?

Flygtorget Hitta jobbet TUIfly Nordic AB TUIfly Nordic is looking for First Officers

janpmunk 9th Aug 2009 11:06

How strict are they on the 500multi turbine or jet? I have about 800multi piston, but no jet...

FlyTCI 10th Aug 2009 00:00

Anyone knows who to direct the application to? Not looking for a generic "To whom it may concerns" kinda headline on my application. Who would be most appropriate to direct it to in this case, to the CP or someone in HR?

Thanks

CaptainProp 10th Aug 2009 01:34

janpmunk - I think if they are strict or not is not your main struggle here. I know many FOs out in Europe with sort of 2-4000 hrs Boeing/Airbus time who are looking for an escape route back to Scandinavia at the moment. I wish you all the best and good luck though.

FlyTCI - The contact person in the add is "Moa Åkesson", maybe try that?

CP

You will not be called for tests with only piston. What doesnīt matter though is if You are rated on type or not. Only 3 out of 12 of the guys and girls in my class were rated on the "correct" type.

MaxS 10th Aug 2009 13:20

Griffin...
Could you throgh in some info aboute the roster for summer/winter and for the different types. How many night away and how is the hotels/standard, location). Staff travel? Pension? The climate in the cockpit/cabin.

Tnx

PropsAreForBoats 11th Aug 2009 18:40

The climate in the "cookpit" would be about 100 degrees Celsius, I presume? ;)

CHECHE 13th Aug 2009 16:20

Does anyone have an idea how selection process will be??

I meet all requirements and I look forward to go through it

regards

This is a seriuos company with one of the best T&Cīs for pilots in Scandinavia so donīt worry about hotel standards etc. Overnights in the Canaries wintertime if You fly the 737. Overnights in Thailand, Venezuela, Canaries etc if You fly the 757/767. Roundtrips in the summertime. Variable roster...

Selection process include written tests the first day. Three different interviews and a sim check the second screening day if You pass the first day.

FlyTCI 13th Aug 2009 19:40

Griffin, the written tests you mention, are they all aviation related q's or would one have to open up old math and physics books if called for the interview? Is it similar to the rather painful first day of the SAS conducted when they were hiring? If anyone's memory goes that far back, that is :}.

Thanks
