Lurer på å sende inn en søknad til Norwegian sjølv. Hvordan er interviewet?

Erfaring og erfaring... Har nå mine 4.000t på tørkestativ (turboprop). Få noen i selskapet til å anbefale deg.

Jada, det hele er nå litt "tongue in cheek" uansett.

Klar man kan få seg jobb uten å kjøpe rating eller måtte bondes.... hos de selskapene som ansetter for livstid; der personellet forblir. "on top of the food chain" so to speak.... endestasjonene i motsetningene til springbrettene.

At et firma beder dig om at binde dig i X-antal aar efter at de har betalt rating er OK.. det er alle de idioter som gladligt betaler deres egen rating naar firmaet vifter med et jet-job som skal kneppes i numsen af en ged. I kommer til at fortryde det i fremtiden folkens..

En geit? Selv foretrekker jeg griser eller russiske sjømenn.

...men hva farsken skal man gjøre når man i de 9 siste år ha ventet på at det magiske selskapet skal dukke opp og tilby meg kremjobben free of charge?! Kanskje best å hoppe ned fra sin høye hest, stikke finger'n i jorda, og bare ta smerten på 150k, for deretter å tjene dette inn på kort tid (i forhold til nåværende arbeidsgiver?).

Men LRdriver II; by all means - hvis du vet om noen som vil gi meg rating gratis, la meg bo i Norge, sjekke skipper på rekordtid og tjene godt på dette; jeg tar gjerne i mot lure tips. ;)

Alle som begynner i DY sier at "man får sjekke skipper på rekordtid". Nå har vel DY ansatt så mange erfarne folk de siste månedene/året, at det snart bare er et salgstrisk fra DY sin side? :)

Og hva er egentlig rekordtid? I forhold til SAS så vil jo rekordtid være 15 år :O

Jeg syns ikke du har grunn til å klage hvis du har 4000 timer turboprop, da har du jo tydeligvis jobb... Jeg hadde gladelig betalt 200.000 for å fly noe større enn en 172, men man får jo aldri muligheten til å slippe til. Er lei av å sitte og se på at folk flyr slow flight....

Gud hjelpe meg så patetiske enkelte mennesker er i dette landet. Toffy, tipper noe av årsaken til at du fortsatt "sitte(e) og se(r) på at folk flyr slow flight" er denne "stakkars meg" holdningen din. Smålighet og missunnelse.. gte over it.

Synes vel kanskje du er litt vel hard i din beskrivelse av Toffy her. Hvis han har vært ppl instruktør i flere år så må det vel være lov til å drømme om noe større.I dagens marked så virker det ikke som du kommer så veldig mye lengre med 2000t i en c172 enn med 200t så noen vil sikkert føle at de kaster bort tiden. Det som tydeligvis gjelder er om du har rating eller ei. (Unntaket er vel WF).
Hvis du mener ****brain har lov til å klage (noe han selvsagt må få lov til), så bør det vel være lov for toffy å klage også? Han har vel ett poeng når han sier at ****brain tross alt har en jobb.....

Nu er der nok ikke mange fornuftige mennesker der kan bakke op om LRDRIVER`s statement ....

Og JA ... jeg har selv betalt typerating..... og kommer jeg til at fortryde det NEJ.
nu kan det godt være du har fået et job uden at betale en typerating ... flot :D
Men der er altså en del der har været arbejdsløs i flere år, og måske har et eller andet mindre spændende job bare for at tjene til dagen og vejen.
Jeg havde selv et job jeg ABSOLUT ikke ville lave til den dag jeg skal pensioneres.
Og hvis det skal koste mig 180000.- for at lave det jeg kan vil de næste 35 år så er det ærligt talt en ret god investering...
Så kommer jeg til at fortryde ...Hmmmmm hvad tror du selv .

To all Morons who still believe that paying for your own TR is a waste of money..You can easily earn in the region of 7-11.000 Euro per month as an FO (737/A320). So paying 25.000 in the first place is not really a huge thing, is it? Wake up! And shut up! I suspect alot of the criticism comes from TP pilots, and that's a different ballgame. No offense. If you're after the top buck, then buy a jet TR. Period.

I've got my pen and paper out, Mr. RYR Jockey, eager to jot down the names of the airlines that will pay me 10 000+ euros per month for my services as a 737 FO. I assume you wouldn't have to have worked there for 15+ years first?:suspect:

My point was merely that it's a very good investment to buy your own TR. There are just too many guys out there who raise their voice without having any kind of hands-on experience in this matter. As for the salary figures...As a contractor, that's what you get these days. Not after 15 years, but you would need typically 1000-1500 hrs first.
As a Brookfield FO in Ryanair, you get 100 Euro per scheduled block...So you can actually get paid 11000 for one month (110 hrs), average would be 75-85 hrs per month = 7500-8500.
Going to India, Vietnam, Korea seems to be good alternatives as well these days.

I am not going to get involved in the argument about whether you should or should not pay for your rating......!

But since you can fly a maximum of 900 block hours a year (I guess this even applies to Ryanair), the calculation should look something like this:
900 hrs x 100 euro´s = 90000 euro´s this divided by 12 months makes it 7500,- euro´s pr. month.

Now that is still a very good salary for an F/O, but not in the region of the 11.000,- that you suggested a freshly typerated F/O could make.

If you are after the "TOP BUCK" get a different job.

As far as i know, a brk contract F/O in ryr with more than 1500hrs you earn 85euros per schedule block hr.Then they take 4,50euros for the simulator = 80,50psbh.
Then tax,insurance etc...
500 - 1500 hrs - 75,50euros psbh
>500 hrs = 55,50euros psbh

You forget the 20 Euro out-of-base allowance.
+ You get paid by the scheduled block, not the actual, i.e.110% of actual hours. One more time: 7500-8500 average, 11000 max.

Ok but there's a reason why it's 20 euros more when you're working all over europe,more expences for sure.So after all i think it's gonna be approx the same money in your pocket on a brk or ryr contract.But back to the topic, i bought my own t/r and got a job right away.It's sad,but i would have done the same again without any doubt.

Can´t help smiling a bit when I read about this "so much pr. scheduled block hour", "this much for sim." etc in the low cost airlines.
It somehow makes me think of shopping in the supermarket;)
No offence though!!

And don´t harass us TP pilots. You know, somewhere deep inside that pylon, I´ve been told there is actually a jet engine. Or so the story goes...

Shait jobs
 

Just a word of advice here: Havining flown professionally now for a while, the 11th year going on to be precise. There are a lot of jobs around now and many of these absolute c.rap. The one I am on right now is substandard in all aspects with no time home, bad rotation and rostering patterns and a very unhealthy work enviroment as well as absolutely disgusting destinations in the worst holes of the 3rd (Should be 4th) world.

I am mostly against paying for your own rating and feel that a company should take the initiative to pay for it. Some operators use the type rating payment or a bond as a guarantee to keep the pilot leaving for greener pastures. My point is that if an employee is treated in a civilized manner and conditions are good, there is no need to be worrried about people leaving.

Additionally as much as I dislike to pay for things, if paying for a rating will get me out of this garbagedump I work now, I will do it without a second thought.

Hopefully we will see airlines around the world realise that there are some really good jobs around and if the a.sshole managemet of the c.rap companies that I mentioned do not get their act together people vote with their feet and go where the sun is shining ( And in some places it is not the CEO's or chiefpilots butt like where I am now)

Hopefully the time that people have to pay to work is going to dissapear and if the pilot shortage that is allready in place will do that before I retire.
