SAS Fleets by Country

With its restructuring, will SAS try to structure its fleets according to country? I have noticed that MD-90s that use to operate out of Oslo appear to be disappearing and replaced by 737NGs - am I wrong about that? Will Norway division primarily operate 737NGs from now on while the Danish division operates MD-90s? Is this because of the Braathens merger?

How do the former Norwegian MD-80/90 pilots feel about now flying the 737NGs?

Only B-737 in Norway (BU and SAS aircraft)
In Stockholm B737 and a few MD80
In Copenhagen MD80/90 and A321 as well as LH aircraft.

LVL CHG:

Aircraft rotation in SAS always used to be according to tax benefits. Something about fuelling an a/c tax-free in one Scandinavian country when flying to destinations outside the premises.

Since the 90'ies, with leasing instead of ownership of a/c, SAS shifted registry of their fleet between the three scandinavian countries, presumably to gain tax benefits. This can be verified by looking at the Registry of Aircraft in either country. "In-and-out" - wow.

Edited: These are only personal observations from reading the registry over the years.

Today the majority of SK fleet is registered under Norwegian civil registry. I think (but do not remeber the exact figures) that Sweden have approx. 30 SK a/c, Denmark approx. 40 a/c and Norway approx. 80 a/c.

The major reason for this was, and I still think is, that in order to sell the aircraft and lease it back the Swedish and Danish creditor laws were not as flexible as the Norwegian.

But as I said before, I stand to be corrected.
