The requirements are Austrian "theoretical" atpl other european cpl/atp. You need to be fluent in German as all exams/courses are conducted in German.

The selection consists of interviews, tests, sim checks, group exercises

Starting salary: €26670 + Flight Pay €5/hour

35 free days a year.

You start on the Dash-8 (about 6 months ago) and have to pay €27000 for your type which is payed back in 3 years incl. intrest.

Pay for training?

Please correct me if I got it wrong. Pilot dude, do you really mean that when joining Tyrolean one have to pay 27 000 Eur for type training? I really hate this "pay for training" in any form.
My suggestion is to avoid those companies as long as you can.
I can not respect the company who you have to pay for getting a job, which this is anyway. I even can take some kind of service bond rather than this.

In this case it's more like a bond since after 3 years the whole amount is payed back with intrest, but fo the rest I share your vision on paying for a typerating.

Ok PD and thanks for the information.
Three years is long time in aviation business, make sure that if company ceases operations you get your money back...
Why don´t they put it like this, reduced salary for example two years. That way the poor pilot does not have to make 27K before getting hired and it is more safer to employer also. Or why not use the normal, traditional and famous service bond? Is that illegal in Austria and this is the way they are doing it in Tyrolean?
27000 is lot of money for conversion course for TP or CRJ. Realistic, if only instant expences are taken inaccount are aprx. 15000-20000 max.:{ :{

Just for your info, I'm not going there, Im trying to move up north.

But in the netherlands (and I guess also other country's) there have been lots of cases where pilots were leaving a company were they signed a service bond, refused to pay and the court ruled in their favour, service bond or not. So this is why some companys turned th system around. First the pilot pays and if (s)he leaves there is no riskfor the company getting the monny from the pilot

I am a Danish pilot who is is going to the selection process in Sept.

I would like to know everything there is to know about the different stages in the selection at Tyrolean

How much German is required? I have been told basic!

What is to be expected at the second stage?
