Sorry mates I don't speak so far nordic language (only south nordic )so it may be a bit OT but is Norwegian still hiring right now? The ad have been on the net for a while now.
Any idea what company prefer...just out of school pilots or experienced first officers?
Is there any pilot who don't speak nordic on the company?
I applied years ago and updated my CV every 6 month but no response what so ever.

Hey.

No serious airline wants straight-out-of-the-scool pilots. That's not how it works. Forget about it.

tuck77, big companies like lufthansa hire guys straight from flying school. And so does norwegian apparently. I heard that the last course was a mix of low-timers and experienced pilots.

Has anyone heard what planes they are thinking of for the long-haul flights?

It would really surprice me if they went for Airbus since they are an all Boeing company.

Hey mr.Tuck

Either you've been living under a rock for the last 20 years or you don't know your ass from your mouth; either way...

(non-exhaustive) list of carriers that hire(d) "straight-out-of-school pilots":

Lufthansa
British Airways
Emirates
Cathay Pacific
SAS
KLM
Singapore
Finnair
South African Airways
Quantas
JAL
Sabena
Ryanair
Easyjet
Monarch
Air Berlin
Air China
Ethiad

and....let's not forget. Every single Military Airforce in the world.

Let`s also keep in mind that said airlines hire(d) from their own approved flight schools, using (to great extent) company SOPs. In addition, the students are put through more or less the same screening and interview procedures as other applicants.
Not applauding this at all, but at least there is some substance besides buying your way to an airline job.
