The problem is that both of theses sites can be posted on ,like this one, by anyone who feels like it, indeed even by the same person.
Personally I would have thought such a large order would have been trumpeted by both Scarebus and airBaltic themselves, which is why I am tending towards the B.S. point of view of this supposed info.

Considering the fact, that a few of the local boys were pulled off the TR for the Q400, for being way below standard, it would give me great pleasure to see them deal with a fly-by-wire system with more than one logic available.

I'm sure his lowness, Chief Pilot AA, together with his pseudo-superior VPO will continue to follow their well established line of concealing whatever very interesting screw-up's their non-expat disciples commit, as a function of setting the company's training standard according to the lowest common denominator thus enabling all former Aeroflot guys to have a job.

I'm ready in the armchair with Coca-Cola and popcorn, aaaaaaaand: Action!

Nobody seems to know the answer I've been asking the same question during the last months and I didn't get a simple question "yes or not and when" Like you I'm in the standby pool waiting for a light at the end of the tunnel

I really hope to hear from Daiga soon, as far as I know they have received all the Q400 and all F50 still flying so I want to believe that they need more crews.

cheers

Hi guys,

How long have you guys been waiting from the moment you send your personal documents untill to the point you got an invitation for selections?
Seeing all the messages here there are quite some guys waiting for a long period.
Are you guys still looking for positions at other companies or are you bound to air baltic?

And what’s the average amount of hours the guys have that start working at air baltic?
are there a lot of ab-initio-wet behind the ears kind of guys like myself there?

Thanks for the help.

Grtz

Hi guys, I would just like to inform you that I was in the holding pool since December, and that I just received an email offering me a position for the Dash 8. I am not tyoe rated. In the email is written that if I am interested in the position, they would send me the employment conditions.
Good luck to you all.

I am not going to accept because I have just been employed by another Company.

Brulin, in the email it's written that they offer dash 8 rating for 9000 euros, but I don't understand if it's a bond they are talking about, and that is the info I got during my assessment days in Riga, or it's the cash they want.

Anyway, good luck to everyone.

From what I understand , the situation regarding the TR has to be negotiated during the Interview . Basically you'd have to pay somehow but HOW is discussable .

I do not know what is the 'list' to call the pilots in the pool. I'm in since end of August, I called Daiga last week and she told me that I should have some updated information during next week, and what I see here she didn't lie, but I'm still waiting my email

What now is disturbing my mind is those 9000 €. When I was in my interview they told me that I was going to be bonded, they didn't say anything about pay for your TR. Could anyone who has received that email be more specific??

cheers

I got called for assessment day next month for the Q400. I, like you CHECHE, are a little worried about the 9,000 euro. Does anybody know about the payment of said: upfront, deducted from salary etc?? Even if you have to pay up front will they bond you too? I will of course put these questions to them at the interview but I've no patience!

@marghe83,
I've 800 turboprop hrs and 1030TT. No Dash time.
Thanks and good luck to you too.

Yep, same offer to me, the 9000 euros was a little shock, must be a new thing. If the payment of said is negotiable then that's a little plus however, it may turn me off this one in the end. I mean they put a 1000 hr minimum requirement on this Q400 position, if they need money that bad they should have just left it at a fATPL min. req. that way they would get plenty of kids to pay much more that 9000 me thinks
Maybe I shouldn't be giving them ideas though

Hi guys,

this is part of the email I received yesterday, so you can interprete it. I have no clue if it's 9000 bond, as agreed during the assessment, or 9000 euros upfront before starting the training.

"[...] We have new vacancies on Dash 8 Q400 and before I’m going further with employment offer details, I would like to explain employment conditions at the moment.
At the moment we are hiring either candidates with a Dash 8 Q400 Type Rating or non-rated candidates that agree to complete the type rating at a highly discounted price of 9000EUR per pilot.

If you are willing to consider our offer and this opportunity, please let me know and I will prepare official offer letter where our employment conditions will be explained more detailed. [...]"

Getting in!

Hi guys!

I just applied a couple of weeks ago for the Q400 position, and got an email saying that I was in the pool and that they would contact me when they had their dates ready.. Now, I wonder.. Is this an email they send out to eveyone that meets their standards or is it an email saying that they are really interested in you???

does anyone have a name or a contact info for the person responsible for reqruiting at AirBaltic??? The emails that I have recieved has no direct contact person, just a generic contact info from their HR....

thanks!!!
