As with Pilotcnn, any info on the current interview process at Air Baltic for the B737's? Have searched through the forums but still a few gaps if anyone can help i.e. On the Sim session, any idea what you will be flying e.g. sid/star and even aircraft type (have seen cessna mentioned somewhere).
Also, ref the tech tests, is it all the atpl subjects or mainly just principles of flight and performance type questions. Same for the Tech interview is that mainly based on the B737.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Sure?
Sorry that I dare to ask, but are you sure that they consider you for the 757? Does it say so in the invitation? Are you 757-rated? As far as I know are only honored BT employees considered to be on the 757... But of course I might be wrong.

I was there for the interview in 2005. So I can't tell you anything about the screening. I was there for 2,5 years. The mainreason why I had to quit was the f... schedule. As I see, you are from scotland. Be prepared to stay in RIX and not to see your family very often! RIX is not a very nice place to live. And it is outrageously expensive! If you have the chance, I strongly recommend you to apply somewhere else... (DHL UK, EAT).

I'm just an SLF, following this thread for like um... 6 months or so.
Seriously guys - if you are not sure about these interviews - I'm afraid to fly with you...
I really hope that you DO know your stuff when I'm aboard.

poor conditions
I have read everything I can on this outfit and I understand your reservations. However due tomy low hours and age I am struggling to get replies neve mind interviews therefore if they are willing to give me a start I will take it then move on when I have more time on type.
I have tried all your suggestions and never got an interview so if this lot are willing to take a chance on me I will live with the pain for as long as it takes.

I'm afraid it was unsuccessful...
According to their previous behaviour they only let you know when you are hired. Bad, bad behaviour, but that is way they are. Words mean nothing to them. Former colleagues, which are still with them are constantly reporting that they still promise upgrades, but if you ask for the promise one day: then they AGAIN promoted somebody else instead (with a local passport)
I personally wouldn"t care so much about that, but I hate to be lied! If they would say right away: "We will never promote you, we always prefer locals!" then there is nobody to blame, but lying and promising hope, destroys working atmosphere and stokes internal envy.

SAS vil selge Air Baltic - Den latviske staten vil ikke helprivatisere.
Publisert: 14.08.08 13:23, Oppdatert: 14.08.08 13:49

I guess this is, what is means in english:
STOCKHOLM, Aug 14 (Reuters) - Scandianvian airline SAS (SAS.ST: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said on Thursday it planned to sell its 47.2 percent stake in airBaltic.
"I can confirm that," SAS spokesman Mikael Lindberg said when asked whether SAS planned the sale.
SAS said its decision was due to the fact the Latvian government had recently dropped plans to privatise airBaltic.
