Whoa! What's going on in BT? How many leaving from RIX/VNO base, and to where?

So, are you jumping onto the 757?

Any bonding or special conditions involved for the to-be 757 crews? Salaries remain the same as for the 737 crews? On what routes will the 757 be utilized? Any nightstops out of base? And, most importantly, how many of the sweet C/As will be onboard the 757?

BTW, 757-200? Mint condition?

So how many pilots finally left BT? When I resigned some weeks ago , I heard that it will be 7 F50 FOs, and uncertain amount of 737 pilots...

An update on AB schedule: still not ok, maybe better than before but not ok. Says it should be 5-3 but is not even close yet. You will get 3 days off in a row every ones in a while but 99% of the time you will have a late flight on the day before and an early morning flight the day after your days off....meaning that you travel on your off days and are home ONE full off day before you have to go back.

Yep, that's sounds familiar! Sounds like BT! That's how it always was! Even if you have early flights 5 days in a row, you bet that your 6th day will be a late one! That's for sure! BT rule! BT policy!
Looks like they don't trust the Netline-System. They let the system do the schedule and afterwards they change it by hand.

Well honestly, the late ending flight isn't just a BT problem, its a general problem in the industry. My colleagues from various airlines telling exactly the same story. About once per month i am lucky and i end with a nightflight and can use particular day for travel - just request it from AOA...
I had my 3 days since weeks, and if its 3 times outta 4 in one month - so what? Our system works with "Fair Share" planning. You can always do a "preferrential bid" by email, however first come, first serve. Folks can be happy that we dont work with "Seniority Bidding", then it would become a professional pain for many...

What is the current situation at aB?

I went to the 2nd interview just before Christmas, and it was said that the next class (type rating?) would be starting on January 7th. I have not heard anything from them yet, but remain hopeful to the last day!

Anyone have any experience on when or whether they'll inform applicants regarding selections, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks for the info!

You know, it's funny... they even asked me, just before I left that day, whether I am going to be available for the January 7 course, to which I said yes. One would think that they would at least send an email... I can't believe you got no response at all from them! Did you get employed elsewhere then?

Question

I think they are running some sort of list with possible candidates in which you might move up or down compared to the total number of best and most qualified, but who knows. I know for sure they have had a lot of interviews last couple of months.
Someone should eventually recieve some fresh info!?

Decided where to go yet? Heard that complete training in HEL or BRU is under consideration as well.

Nice.

So, will these B757s be operated by BT or BT Eastern? Seems that Herr Flick is keeping a number of the cards to himself ... at the time being. Would you happen to know whether those F/Os are Baltic heroes - or from the western or southern sides of the Baltic sea?

I happen to know all of the FO's moving onto that fleet, except 1 guy, 99% from the Westside , moves are according to seniority (well kinda) on the 737.

How come the guy supposed to go is reconsidering now? I was flying with AA last week and he told me that Brussels and Helsinki are considered as well besides the already known Iceland/Helsinki deal. No, Mr. Facepuncher is definitively not going - what i heard at least...

Mr Facepuncher shouldn't even be allowed to drive a car, never mind a 737.

Its a shame I will miss the introduction of the 757, I'm sure its going to be interesting

This thread has almost done a complete turn-round over the last 10mths or so, it feels strange to be leaving now.

But Winglet and hbiwe know the score and it simply is my time to move on.

I will miss most of the crew I worked with, meaning the FO's and a few Captains, but coming home at this stage of my life is ideal.
