Stockholm 5th June

I'm taking Mrs A to Stockholm (one of our favourite cities) for a romantic weekend 3/6 June. I have just heard from a friend that there is some sort of air display or flypast over the city on the 5th June. Could somebody please tell me if this is true and if so, what is involved, and where is the best place to see it?

Many Thanks

Airclues

PS....It's not going to be easy to persuade Mrs A that this was not pre-planned!

There's supposed to be a fly-in at Barkaby (small GA-airport).

Check it out while your in town.
You won't be able to "fool" your ol' missus anyways, so might as well make the most of it!

Many thanks An2. I've found some details here but not sure exactly where the flypast takes place.

That isn't the one, although it may be of interest as well.
The EAA chapter in Sweden has a fly-in every year the first weekend of June. It's about 20 km from the center of Stockholm at Barkarby airport.
Mostly homebuilts and spam cans, not an airdisplay but the occasional aerobatic routine may appear.

The one you linked to is a historic automobile event. There will be some aviation related stuff as well but not a whole lot.

This is the place you want!

certainly no fly overs in stockholm after the crash of a military jet nearby crowd a few years ago.
Stockholm is definitively the nicest city of many...

deice and M.85

Many thanks for the info. Probably safer to concentrate on Mrs A.
