Point of No Return: Landing

Ok guys, if you're coming in for a landing at 15 kts in a hostile situation, at what point does your forward momentum commit you to land? 1 second out, 2 seconds, 1 rotor diameter, more? Let's say with a heavy aircraft, maybe an H-53 airframe.

Basically, how much time would you need to stop without physically touching down if you're landing fast. Does it depend on the pilot?

Oh, I'm sure you'll get a straight answer on this one. No harm in asking questions pertinent to operational flying. There are no secrets here...

Seriously..?
