Who Is Gp Capt Suave?!

This is actually on the RAF Careers Website! Who is Gp Capt Suave?!!

http://www.rafcareers.com/altitude/g...loader_raf.swf

As an aside, this was sent by a USAF colleague, who believes that we use this as some kind of aircrew selection test (although, to be fair, I think we do!!).

Aeronut 20th April 2007 08:47

Looks like medical insignia on his lapels which might explain why his flying was so bad, nothing to do with my reactions on the keyboard you understand:}

forget 20th April 2007 08:52

Oh dear! Wait 'til BEagle sees this. :eek:

London Mil 20th April 2007 08:52

I scored 31.:D Can I be a Harrier pilot please?

Barely Restrained 20th April 2007 08:53

Medical Branch...that makes sense - it would explain why he has only 2 stripes on his No1s...hasn't had time, between promotions, to get it tailored :}

LXGB 20th April 2007 09:14

Top Banana! :ok:

Widger 20th April 2007 09:21

Score 73, nearly got to the end.

Got loads of complaints over the phone about my low flying.

griz87 20th April 2007 09:34

2208! Get in. 'Lets get married and have babies'. What do you say to that captain Suave.

spectre150 20th April 2007 09:38

Made up name surely.......

Union Jack 20th April 2007 09:55

Yes, we have no bananas ...

Having misread the banner on the said RAF Careers website, which I initially thought read "Group Captain Suave is (rather than vs) a large monkey", my vision has now improved and I see that the "GC" seems to have undergone an incomplete transfer from the US Army Air Force (vide the lapel badges and the American style salute). Not to mention a total lack of scrambled egg on his cap and the all important brevet....

Jack

PS Or is it a naval style salute, borrowed in a laudable, but badly aimed, attempt to benefit from recent positive Senior Service publicity?:)

BEagle 20th April 2007 10:41

"Oh dear! Wait 'til BEagle sees this."

I have - it's $hite!

Whatever happened to Air Ace Picture Library (http://www.bookpalace.com/PicLibs/AirAce/index.htm) and 2/- Airfix kits in placky bags coupled with youngsters' imagination and the noise of low flying military jets.....?

Green Flash 20th April 2007 10:45

JTIDS 21st April 2007 21:13

Does the Gp Captain remind anyone else of two certain Canadian helicopter pilots!??!

Ali Barber 22nd April 2007 07:31

The Helpful Stacker 22nd April 2007 07:44

And who is CAPT Suave? it this an Army Air Corps advert that got lost?
Judging by some of their knuckle scraping ground crew that frequent Odious I believe they have binned recruitment for press gangs.;)
