TSR2
Hi all,
Does anyone know any decent websites about the TSR2? I'm after some nice pics...still think its the best looking thing we've put in the air...albeit briefly. Shame. Apologies if this one has been done already...but I couldn't find another thread. Cheers TT |

Google Searches come up with quite a few.... even http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BAC_TSR-2 has a nice information page with links to various TSR2 pages.
I reckon in my opinion though, the Jaguar comes up trumps for a great looking aircraft, especially from a head-on point of view!! |
Cheers...I've been Googling a bit, struggling to find a decent quality picture. Most of them seem to be pretty grainy or just small!
Still looking! :ok: |

This;
http://www.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!/open.file?id=0979918&size=L is my current desktop wallpaper. I also like to visit Cosford on a regular basis to stare at the TSR.2 and swear, gently, under my breath. |
OK...now I feel silly. :rolleyes: Cheers Molesworth Hold for the link to the previous thread.

Looks like the nav didn't have a great view in those things!
(Cue "..he doesn't deserve one.." banter etc etc) Back quarter looks very much like the back of a Tonka, I think. Also tiny wings! - Wonder what the threshold speed was! :eek: |
Sorry, Razor61, but the TSR2 wins by miles. The Jaguar looked OK until it entered service and all those lumps and things got stuck on it. The same would have happened to the TSR2, of course.
Which makes me think. There is a poster here who occasionally creates some good CGI of various aircraft; could he perhaps draw an image of what a TSR2 might have looked like after 20 or 30 years service, with all of the mods, aerials, add-ons, fuel tanks, etc that would have changed its original, gorgeous outline? |
Sadly, it might have morphed into something like this.....
http://www.rafmarham.co.uk/gallery/blowups/large10.htm It did? Phew! :{ |
