Wheezy Boys

Why is it that every wannabe on here nowadays seem to be wheezy, blind or unfit?...........

Or do the wheezy, blind and unfit ones gravitate to the internet sites like Pprune?............

Or does the internet make them wheezy blind and unfit?:uhoh: ..............

.......and what on the internet could possibly make them blind and wheezy?

JAG3 13th November 2006 15:10

That's pretty ignorant. How can you call someone wheezy if they didn't use their inhaler, never had an attack and had a specialist say 'you don't have it.' I can accept why you mentioned eyesight because you can't get around being unlucky enough to have slightly poor eyesight but there's still no need to slag people off like that.

It would appear that you have landed yourself a wheezy wannabe!!:D

Fishing Rod

Tourist,

put your fishing rod away!

That said, 29 minutes for your first catch isn't bad! :E

Tourist 13th November 2006 16:15

I see.... Going for the old Clinton excuse eh JAG3.
"I didn't inhale"

Let me get this straight.

You were given an inhaler because:-

A. The doctor thought that all healthy boys with no breathing difficulties should carry one.
B. All the other wannabies have one and you didn't want to stick out.
C. You are the sort of wheezy boy that always got picked last for football in the playground.

Our panel says!....................

xraf 13th November 2006 16:17

Its time to go home so I'll just drop this one and walk out. See you tomorrow!

:D :D Tourist!:D :D

In addition to being wheezy and unfit they also appear to be:

a) Desperate for unsubstantiated advice (cant think for themselves?)
b) Happy to tell all in public ( Security risk?)
c) Quick to get upset about it (Lack of moral Fibre?)
d) Dead easy to wind up (Ideal fodder for a dining in night!):E

Two thoughts from my RAF flying training days:

1) Get sharp - Stay sharp
and
2) Just be there and cope

Sometimes you just cant have it all and be a namby pamby, whinging, sickly infant as well, its tough out there!:=

Helmet on .......Incoming tree huggers!:p

Actually you might not be far from the truth.

I had some thing I went to the Doc at ISK for and he had got this new inhaler thingy toy and prescribed it to me. It did nothing for me, made my nose tickle and I gave up in short order.

My docs however no doubt carried the magic stigma. As I was already spec a/c I couldn't care less.

junglie-driver 13th November 2006 18:52

Wheezy boy TOURIST! Me thinks this has been a topic close to your heart! Have the big boys been teasing you again during those organised PT sessions. ;)

Tourist 13th November 2006 20:27

It's not the PT junglie so much as the communal showers afterwards I hate!

My misfortune in having a pen1s the size of a pygmy hamsters tongue shouldn't make me a source of such ridicule!

On the plus side, my strong belief in Karma and Astral balance leads me to believe that my job as Kate Moss's fluffer is just around the corner.

At present, and until medical science improves, I will just have to continue wearing a prosthesis to my medicals to prevent the RN sending me fast jet!

JAG3 13th November 2006 21:10

It's quite funny to hear a bunch of grumpy old men whinge and fight. And I suppose you guys were never young waiting for the chance to join the RAF.

Tourist 13th November 2006 21:42

Wait to join the RAF?!
I'd as soon tuck my member between two small dog biscuits and shout "Dinner Fido!"

JAG3 13th November 2006 21:48

I apologise, that includes navy and army. I take it your army because for some reason I thought navy officers weren't as rude as you've been.

stiknruda 13th November 2006 22:02

JAG3 - I very, very, very rarely join in these /BANTER on .... BANTER off/ threads because a) I left so long ago and b) there is always someone funnier than me...................
my advice to you would be to "wind your neck in!". You will never win as a 17 yo young man!
Let it go, dude!
Stik:cool:
OH NO!

Without Care 13th November 2006 22:15

Tourist,

Didn't you find that was rather like throwing a line out with lots of flashing, spinning things on and catching loads of mackerel?

WC

Solid Rust Twotter 14th November 2006 06:17

Didn't bring your priest to put it out of it's misery, did you Tourist?:}

xraf 14th November 2006 09:21

Hey, I am all of those and logged on here. Doesn't affected my staff work though...

Tourist 14th November 2006 11:58

Blunted.
Please tell me that the above is not an example of your staffwork.

JAG3 14th November 2006 12:53

I just don't see the point of someone slagging people off then getting away with it. And I can't join in an arguement and just let go. Just me.

nick0021 14th November 2006 13:43

JAG,

A quick question for you ...

How are you going to survive in a mess environment, if you can't take a little light hearted banter?!! You just going to start arguing with everyone?!?! :ugh:

I don't know much, but im pretty sure you would become the butt of alot of jokes!! Especially if i had anything to do with it!! :E

First things first, wind your neck in .... then lighten up !

Nick :ok:

Tourist 14th November 2006 13:57

JAG.

I really must ask, in the interests of your health, that you calm down and stop hyperventilating.

Mummy's strongest soldier, what with your delicate chest problems, really can't afford to get too excited about these things.

Perhaps breathe into a paper bag............

Think about your glowing future in the Womens Royal Auxilliary Balloon Corps....

thats better.........

GPMG 14th November 2006 14:25

Reminds me of my nephew 2-3 years ago.

Had an opinion on everything
Would bite on any less than complimentry comment
Knew nothing.

It seems to be a trait of teenagers and I'm sure that we were all guilty of it to an extent. Fortunetly my nephew took the same advice as Nick0021 offered and he is now shapeing up to be a smart young bloke with a little bit of experience behind his overactive mouth. I just hope it continues.

xraf 14th November 2006 14:33

OMG is this STILL running?

Jag - Chill!

Tourist - once more :D :D

Remember Jag: 'If you cant take a joke you shouldnt have joined' :E

How in God's name did you know he was talking about you? Reminded me a bit of the scene in Blackadder: 'No sir Captain Blackadder definitely did not shoot that delicious plump breasted pigeon!'.
P.S. I am a 'wannabe', and am none of the afforementioned things.
And regarding my name- maybe I just feel that people shouldn't be afraid to use their real name in their own country. Just a thought....
Alex
p.s. Tourist this is NOT, repeat NOT a bite!

JAG3 14th November 2006 17:38

How in God's name did you know that XRAF was talking about you in regard to his point that wannabees like sharing too much information.

Just a thought
Jason

movadinkampa747 14th November 2006 18:42

Children! children! Stop this bickering at once. Alex, say sorry to Jason and lets not hear another word from either of you.:hmm:

alex_holbrook 14th November 2006 21:01

How did I know? Let's face it chap, it's not rocket science about the info thing is it?... whereas I can think of at least five guys who've come on here with asthma this, eyesight that....
I didn't intend that last post as an insult either, it was more a playful dig, so I guess that's his second bite this thread.
Either way, I'm very, very sorry. It won't happen again.
*leaves through door hanging head in shame.*
