Which Helis are in Cyprus

The official raf website states that No 84 Sqn still uses Wessex in Cyprus but I thought they'd all been decomissioned.

Could someone enlighten me on what No 84 uses out there?

Thanks.

A mate of mine was out there last Easter and returned home with a large number of ariel pics of Akroteri (sp?) taken out of the door of a Wessex which was very much still in service.

The Wessex is indeed still in service with the RAF out at Akrotiri, however I beleive they are due to be replaced by the Griffon HC.2 aircraft of FB Heliservices from April next year.

Rusty.

Thanks for all the replies. I was having an argument in a pub over the weekend and I was convinced that when the Wessex were removed from NI that they were also leaving Cyprus at the same time.

******, looks like I owe somebody a beer or two !!
