South Korean Hypersonic Missiles

Everyone getting into the game - Europe seems to be lagging behind….

Hycore Hypersonic cruise missile.

South Korea have been secretary developed many critical strategic technologies since long ago(after establishment of the ADD).
This is one of such weapon system.
● Land, Air launch(KF-21)
● Combined Cycle Engine(Dual Mode Ramjet, Dual Combustion Ramjet)
● Two stages of solid propellant(KSLV and KTSSM)
● Anti ship capabilities
Hycore launched more than a 3 times but as always, government will silence about it, like other strategic ballistic missile series, nuclear submarine, HGV and new large SLBM.
There are more unknown types of Hypersonic cruise missiles under development.
The Hycore is just technology test demonstrator.
Hypersonic glide vehicle HGV also under development.

As i posted before, South Korea planning to launch ballistic missiles from KF-21. (ALBM / Aeroballistic missile) and there's more.

● The KVLS-II can be equipped HCM if they want. but mainly KVLS-II is ballistic missile.
● Air launched version is seems more aerodynamic friendly design and propulsion systems.

Because their logistics centres, shipyards, headquarters, factories, seats of government, transport hubs, command and control centres, energy generation and whore houses are all much further back behind air defence screens.

Come on you Koreans!

Because they’ll find plenty of customers both in Asia and Europe?

I imagine Poland and Ukraine would be interested…

Come on you Koreans!

N Korea stretches approx 300-550 kms from the border - at Mach 2 that's 10 - 15 minutes max

at hypersonic that's 4- 6 minutes

Not sure the gain is worth the astronomical cost

It’s not the time, it’s the ability to penetrate missile defences.

Not everyone has the latest blocks of Patriot able to engage hypersonic targets.
