Reminiscent thoughts of some ancient and very grumpy barrack warden doing the march-in would put me right off.

It will be interesting to see if the agents follow the code of conduct this time and declare the asylum centre risk. They didn't when they put the houses at Linton up for sale.

I actually lived in the right hand side house in the picture on Third Avenue in 1996. Posted to Waddington, Scampton had just closed and the quarters were being used as an overflow. Dont recall the interior being like that! It was actually a nice quiet place to live with a social club and NAAFI shop until they started to refurbish and sell off the quarters. Requests to have our quarters upgraded to the standard required before being able to sell them always met with a straight no. A tad annoying when the houses over the road got new double glazing and other enhancements prior to being sold whilst we had to live in houses with the old metal window frames that let in water!

I saw that Nutloose, and its glaring omission. It is what got put on the estate agent's selling page that lacked any info at Linton. We were expressly told by our agent that we had to mention the LoO plans when we put our house on the market.
I just rang the agents, they say it won't be a factor as the centre has not been confirmed and the site will be secure and is separated as the houses are at the other end of the village ! |
