What was the TWCU course syllabus
 

Can anyone tell me what the Tornado TWCU course in the early 80’s consisted of please. How many hours and what was involved in the parts of the course.

Going round and round at Cowden, Donna Nook, Wainfleet and Holbeach!

Did mine in 93 but I don’t think it had changed much. I was a back seater, the pilots’ course was subtly different.
25.55 Day.5.20 night ( mostly TF)
As typerated says lots of academic range work doing Laydown, Loft, shallow dive and strafe. Profiles which were then practised against simulated targets overland as pairs.
4 trips ACT
and 4 trips overland bounced pairs.

Each new skill was done first in the sim (no visual), then with a staff member in the other cockpit then as a student crew.
