Pity there are only 6 hulls tho' - mean one will be permanently stationed in UK waters I guess |
In reality all the RN ships should have the capability.

I remember seeing the test barge in Falmouth a few years back - radar etc already fitted. If it's still around they could park it in the Thames Estuary...............

Longbow was stripped and sold for scrap sometime ago

I doubt the politicians will be happy to allow the countries only anti-missile capability to be deployed anywhere away from the voters and the Daily mail

Not all ballistics missile are created equal.
The Type 45 Astor 30 Block 1NT (or maybe 2) upgrade offers enhanced defence against the shorter range ballistic missile that navies throw at each other. Even Astor 30 Block 2 will be useless against the big league ICBM’s and SLBM that Poo-Tin, the lovely if highly venomous Simonyan (RT Chief editor) etc keep threatening to export to us in the U.K. To stop these nasties we need the IAI Arrow 3. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrow_3 Hopefully we get our order in, just after Germany and before the queue gets too long. |
