What was the weather like in Moscow today?
What was the weather like in Moscow this morning?
TV pictures showed hard shadows and Vlad and those around him squinting in the sunlight - but the Fly-Past of 77 aircraft didn't turn up....? |
Just taking sensible precautions in case one of the aircraft develops a wiring fault.
|
Loved Vlad's Kevlar raincoat, some serious body armour underneath.......
|
|
....and the heavies round him with the fake hands talking into their other sleeves
Wonder how many rings of security the civilians had to pass through with their Tulips. |
Russian Air Force flypast cancelled owing to bad weather.
Pull the other one! |

Remember it might be fine in Moscow, but you have to allow for departure fields, route to the form up, the form up area, route home and home bases being clear.,
|
Putin displaying future Ukranian targets while he can:)
Re airdisplay, perhaps they were scared a manpad was waiting:rolleyes: |

So they feared one aircraft might get shot down over Moscow or have a kamikaze minded pilot? With handpicked crews?

Thing with the aircraft getting shot down, you cannot cover the whole route, you can probably nail down the centre of Moscow but the rest would be difficult and you fire at one then the rest would scatter, hit or not. Hit one and it would reverberate around the World.

Looks more like an inverted V on his chest, when it should be "X marks the spot".
|
It also looks like he might be wearing body armour under his coat?

Still photos are literally a snap-shot and do not necessarily expose the mood surrounding the moment.
But that looks like a rather despondent man with the weight of the world on his shoulders. At least, it looks that way to me. |

The question is on Sergei Shoigu’s RollsRoycski ( the “General” who has never served a day in the military, but has collected an impressive range of medals ) what are the three lumps sticking up in the passengers side windscreen, are they the Russian equivalent of the GPS, radio and sat nav aerials, or something equally as bad?

I must admit, I am really surprised that Ukraine didn't do anything disruptive on that day!
Maybe they did and Russia had a LOT of Anti whatever. Or maybe there was some 'discussion' as to not - really - wake a sleeping lion with a stick...! |
The flight display got cancelled - possibly for a reason.
|
Pondering what noise they are collecting placed there |
He is reporting ready and ordering the parade to begin or similar.
|
Already practicing for May Day 2023?
|
I've heard there was a fire at the airport the air show would launch from. Hmmmmm.
|
I think my favourite theory so far is the manpad threat…’cos it only needed to be a perceived threat to ruin the day.
And I believe that “Drone Spotting” is going to be a ‘thing’ on Pprune from now… |
