The 1936 Montreux Convention allows Turkey to limit naval transit of its straits during wartime but has a clause exempting ships returning to their registered base. "We implemented what Montreux says, and we will do so from now on. There has been no request for passage through the straits until today," the state news agency Anadolu reported Cavusoglu as saying. At least four Russian ships are currently waiting on Turkey's decision to cross from the Mediterranean. |

The Carrier does not need to enter the Black Sea, nor should it. It's reach from that part of the Eastern Med is more than enough "defensive posturing" to keep Vlad "looking over his shoulder". It's getting to the point that everybody wants to check out their kit in a "dirty" environment.
Let's face it, so many assets are gathered along his entire Western boundary, I'm surprised he's not paranoid and looking behind every tree. What is really interesting must be the sheer volume of int. being captured by the West on Vlad's capability to fight any kind of conventional war. IG |
