Mach Loop with Piston fighters
quick question.
Has anyone flown the mach loop with a restored Spitfire or similar WW2 fighter? If so does anyone have a link to a video? A google search didn’t reveal anything. |
I know someone who claims to have flown it in a Chipmunk...
|
At least that would allow the photographers to use a nice long exposure.

Wouldn't want to fight anything in a chippy. (Except a Mancunian. :ok:)

I have flown a Spitmunk, but not round the Mach loop.
|
For clarity, I have flown a Chippy out of Tangmere, and bought fish and chips from a "chippy" in Yorkshire.

There was an excellent youtube cockpit video of a Bulldog flying the Mach loop, but I can't find it any more

I know someone who did it in a Triumph Spitfire; does that count?
