Just an acknowledgement and note that the last surviving Dambuster - Sqn Ldr Johnny Johnson DFC MBE - celebrated his 100th birthday yesterday. Congratulations, Sir, I metaphorically doff my cap to you and wish you many more. A magnificent ton-up!

I had the privilege of meeting him a couple of years ago at a Squadron reunion, he’s a delightful chap.

A true hero and such a gent. Had the honour of meeting him several times and vividly recall him scurrying to the front of PA474 during a visit to RAF Lyneham several years ago.
