I must wonder, what is an N-reg Piper Malibu doing in Kiev currently? An unlikely sight on this day and age.

This is an interesting view, the Belarus troops could be used not to attack the capital but to come around behind the Ukrainian army.

N-Reg Malibu
Nivsy & Beamr - N Reg Malibus get everywhere these days - The UK has some special tax, operations or maintenance category for UK based N-proxy something or other. Usual consumer warnings apply.

Supreme council of Ukraine (Verkhovna Rada) is making fast legal changes to allow citizens to buy weapons more easily.
This should make it easier for citizens with determination to resist the aggressor. Looking at the restrictions underneath it occurs that the soviet era NSV fits the bill quite nicely, if one happens to fancy protecting his/hers property from an aggressor. Rada took a step towards the legalization of weapons The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine today, February 23, adopted in the first reading the bill "On the right to civilian firearms" No. 5708, which legalizes the right to purchase firearms for Ukrainians . 274 deputies voted for. Article 7 of the bill provides for permission for citizens to own firearms and ammunition belonging to individuals and legal entities, except for:

I know wiki can be not the best source, but the article on UKR armed forces states:
'Ukraine and Nato estimate that 2.5 million tons of conventional ammunition were left in Ukraine as the Soviet military withdrew, as well as more than 7 million rifles, pistols, mortars, and machine guns. The surplus weapons and ammunition were stored in over 180 military bases, including in bunkers, salt mines and in the open. As of 2014, much of this surplus had not been scrapped.' |

Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has warned Ukrainians not to visit Russia and urged all Ukrainians in Russia to leave immediately.

There would seem, at the moment, no common ground for negotiation with Russia….
They seem t9 be following the Chinese meme in claim8ng that if it was ever Russia, it is forever Russia. |

By allowing up to 12,7mm rifled weapons releases the long distance powerful sniper rifles, but they probably want to deny the possession of eg GShG-7.62 with fire rate of up to 3500rpm. All the other restrictions deny eg mortars, cannons, artillery and such so this would be rather obvious continuation to it.

Probably because when all this sh*te is over one way or the other, you would not want every man and his dog walking around carrying concealed weapons.

Follow that back to its logical conclusion, and they should really be offering to return the Motherland to Turkey, or maybe Iran. |

Then the semi-automatics should be banned as well. It always amazes me that when ever something like this is happening everyone appears to buy ex British combat kit. |
Nord Stream 2 contract reported as cancelled. Argument as too whether the insurance cancellation can be reversed and contract restarted - but the hardware won’t go away…

To my understanding the insurance contract by Munich Re was cancelled, not the entire gas pipe program as one may read the tweets above.
