Two pilots have been forced to eject from a fighter jet at Amberley Airbase, south-west of Ipswich in Queensland.
The incident involving an F/A-18 occurred near a runway about 2.30pm. |

What you can't see from the still of the blackened jet is that it's still trundling along on the grass - without the two occupants! Not clear if under power or just the inertia built up during the takeoff roll.
