Great vapour trails off the lerx as he pulls g - and amazing the way the airframe noise changes when he loads it up.

Lots of posts on Faceplant about the sound of freedom - and nearly all positive too.

Even when I was producing the "Sound of Freedom" myself, I thought it was a bit of a funny term. After all, the sound of an enemy fighter overhead is going to sound identical to the untrained ear, and then it definitely wouldn't be the sound of freedom...

it dates back to the debut of the Phabulous Phantom, which generated a huge Sound of freedom. And of course it extended naturally to other loud American aiplanes.

Actually it pre-dates that - goes back to SAC and the introduction of the B-47.... now THAT was SOUND

He spends a lot of time fiddling with his bra-straps. Does the harness really need to be that loose?

The most impressive Hornet display I've ever seen, pulling some moves I'd never seen a Hornet do during a demo until I saw this video... SU-27/35? Pah!

That was enjoyable to watch.

It did look loose to me too. He initially tightened the straps at 8 seconds, before starting the positive G routine. He could have retightened it, instead of just repositioning? It looks to be a deliberate preference.
