MH17 - Prosecutors to file charges?

I am not a military person. But what do those of you with knowledge in these areas make of this? There are reports that the Dutch-led Joint Investigation Team will soon be naming suspects and level charges.

The JIT Press Conference should be aired at 1pm local Netherlands 19th June.

MH17 investigators will name names, Ukrainian minister said

The team investigating the downing of flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine in 2014 will name the first four suspects at Wednesday’s news conference, Ukraine’s deputy foreign affairs minister Olena Zerkal has told news agency Interfax. Charges against the four will be brought after their names are made public by the Joint Investigation Team, Zerkal said. ‘After that, the criminal court at Schiphol will start working to consider this case,’ she said.

See from 1:27. That analysis is just embarrassing! The videos such as this one need to go away! It is as if they pass off this type of analysis to junior officers to come up with an easy solution. Their claims about the lighting are just ridiculous.

They even claim that this video is CGI!

The Russians were trying desperately to do "analysis" on that poor quality footage. The reality is that the footage in the public domain is low quality for a reason. The full HD video was passed to the JIT. Eliot Higgins of Bellingcat after the Russian idiotic video "analysis" in the press conference released a still showing that the HD footage does exist. No the dash cam video is not GCI but the Russians need it to be and desperately require it to go away!

The following person superimposed the higher definition still over the low quality video and verifies the claim.

The dash cam video can also be matched up with google earth and other open source sat imagery

The BUK was also photographed in Donetsk.

The Russians desperately need this imagery to simply "go away". They now label everything CGI but this was their first desperate attempt to discredit the "BUK on a Truck video". They claimed that they had geo-located it to Krasnoarmeisk but it was actually filmed in Lugansk.

The good example of such fact is that some mass media showed transportation of the Buk-M1 missile system from Ukrainian to Russian territory. We can clearly see that its frame-up. These pictures were made in the city of Krasnoarmeisk that is confirmed by a banner situated close to the road. This banner has an address of the car shop situated at the Dnepropetrovskaya, 34. Since May 11 the Krasnoarmeysk city is under control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. That is why we have some questions

TEEEJ,

Your post is full of links to Bellingcat. It is just not serious. Rubbish pseudo-journos, with "business" built on russophobia and fakes/fabricated news and "facts".
Moreover, some say they are supported by gov. intel. services.

Emma Best does not sound like a Russian person :-)

It's OK, the Russian economy will soon sink under the massive cost of the disinformation troll factories, in the same way as the old CCCP collapsed under the cold war arms race.

Meanwhile, it is a source of endless amusement watching the incompetent attempts to deny every criminal act.

Russian foreign debt to GDP, 13.5%
US Foreign debt to GDP, 105.4%

Russian trade surplus of $200 Billion,

Russian foreign debt to GDP, 13.5%
US Foreign debt to GDP, 105.4%
They are not comparable: The US debt is denominated in US currency, so its not "foreign" in the same sense as Russia having USD or € -denominated debt.

True my mistake

Shouldn't have used "Foreign",

Total debt is the position and yup US Federal Debt is $22.6 Trillion, Russian debt is 12.6 Billion Rubles ($200 Billion). The Debt as a % of GDP is however correct but it is based on 2017. Based on current US is 116% and Russia is circa 8%.

Russia's trade surplus is close to $200 Billion per annum. US trade deficit is $600 billion per annum.

So what is "serious" in your eyes? Surely not the ridiculous claims from the Russian military of the picture and videos of the the BUK/BUK convoys being CGI/fake? As I said before it is like they gave this assignment to a junior officer and all he/she has done is sift through useful idiot conspiracy theorist sites and then declared everything CGI. The picture and videos have to be made to "go away" and it just smacks of desperation. Is that the best the Russian military and military intelligence can do?

How about this effort trying to discredit the BUK dash cam video and others in the series. It makes you wonder where they drag up these useful idiots from to star in the videos? Bruce Grant who apparently used to be a British diplomat. The mind boggles. Here the useful idiot is trying to claim that the footage was filmed in June 2014.

The desperation to discredit the various imagery is telling!

Ukraine captures separatist believed to be linked to MH17

A former separatist commander believed to be linked to the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight 17 has been captured in eastern Ukraine and smuggled across the frontlines to government-controlled territory. Vladimir Tsemakh, who turned 58 in confinement in Kiev on Thursday, was captured by Ukrainian agents in the Russia-backed splinter state of the Donetsk People's Republic on June 27, relatives told the BBC Russian service.

He formerly commanded anti-aircraft defences in Snizhne, which according to an international investigation is near to where the Russian missile that brought down MH17 was fired. All 298 people on board were killed when the Boeing 777 was blown out of the sky on 17 July 2014, including 10 Britons. Ukrainian media have reported that Mr Tsemakh could be a “valuable witness” in the international investigation of the tragedy, while the authorities have declined to comment on the incident. Mr Tsemakh's relatives have claimed that Kiev plans to “frame” him for the disaster.

Last month, Dutch investigators brought murder charges against three Russian and one Ukrainian separatist fighter for delivering a Buk missile from the Russian border to the site of the shoot down. They also called for information on Russian troops suspected of involvement. According to a copy of a court order posted on social media, Mr Tsemakh is suspected of creating a terrorist group, charges carrying up to 15 years in prison.”........

Mr Tsemakh's wife told Russian state media he had been abducted by Ukraine's security service, injected with “psychotropic medicines” and taken across the breakaway republic's border in a wheelchair with fake documents. A photograph of him in confinement showed him with a bloody bandage on his forehead and what appeared to be a needle prick on his arm.........

If it was good enough for Eichmann it's good enough for Tsemakh
