Fleet Air Arm aircraft handlers

Any aircraft handlers out there? I am seeking contact with those guys who did/do such a tremendously dangerous job on the carriers. I need your stories for the forthcoming 'Fleet Air Arm Boys' series of books. Yes, I have tried the Handlers' Association website and Facebook page without success - everyone seems too shy to stand up and be counted. All the aircrew I have contacted have a huge amount of respect for the handlers, so come on, let's hear from you so your story can get the exposure it so richly deserves.

Thank you.

Try the Navy Net - Royal Navy Community forum, there may be some old 'chockheads' lurking on there, I am on old chockhead '63 to '72, chopper decks only ( the Old Grey Ghost and Rusty B) and Big E hangar rat last commission. PM me at your leisure the grey cells may be a bit foggy though these days!! Looking forward to the books..

Chris P. Thanks for your private message. I have tried to reply but your mailbox is full, so please empty some of it so that mine can get through. Thanks!

Try the School of Aircraft Handling at Culdrose if it still exists OR Ask for Memories from Old Badgers and Manglers!

Hi

I have contact with a couple FAA flight deck crew that were on Invincible during the Falklands. If you PM me your email address, I'll pass it on.

Cheers
