Reds at Cosford
Just back from the Cosford Air Show. I hadn't seen the Arrows live for over fifteen years. I'm pleased to report they are a good as ever.

Aye, I thought they put on a bloody good show.

An excellent day. The weather was perfect ! Reds indeed performed perfectly as did BBMF.

Well you all must have ruddy good eyesight. far too far away, and sadly a little loose in parts. i hope the commentator gets a little more confident in time too. |

The reds display was awesome. The 100 surprise at the end made it even more special. Well done reds and all who participated. As for being too far away, not sure what you mean Red and Green...they were on point throughout. Just sorting my images from a great day now...it may take a while. :-)

They looked close enough for me :-)

What wonderful photographs.
There was a time when the reds were closer to the crowd during the whole display and when formation changes were in front of the crowd line not in the the distance. The station keeping is superb. |
I saw them at the Torbay air show, very good on both days but even better on the cloudless Sunday. One thing I noticed is the aircraft appeared to be shinier than I have seen them in the past, are they using a new paint finish or is just that it is the start of the season and the finish has not yet weathered?
I was surprised to see the BBMF Dakota and Lancaster flying in such close formation with the Dakota leading the Lancaster around the bay, the separation was no more than I have seen (hose and drogue) AAR. |
