Buccaneer 60th

With Monday being the 60th Anniversary of the first flight of NA39, which went on to be the Buccaneer, there are a couple of events at Bruntingthorpe on Saturday and Elvington on Sunday featuring the Banana jet which would be fun for those interested.

I have been led to believe tickets my need to be be pre-booked, if so this is probably too late notice now. I don't have all the details to hand (not being in the country currently) but I'm sure Google would assist.

I remember well the 30th anniversary celebrations at Lossie in 1988! At least we were still flying them then. Great event. How time flies.

As a teenager I used to bike from my home in York to watch the prototype NA 39s testing at Holme on Spalding Moor....looking great in their blue and white schemes
If the attachment works here's a shot of XK486 engine testing on 23rd Feb 1959
