You may well find the whole enterprise is funded by industry. So in that way I suppose it is, indirectly, funded by the taxpayer.

And of course BAe et al pays the same amount of tax as the rest of us.... ;)

"...I suppose it is indirectly funded by the taxpayers.????!" Er, no, I think you'll find its exactly the other way round. "Taxpayers money" is generated by business and enterprise. Without it, no nurse, teacher or fighter-pilot in the country will receive any salary.

ShotOne.

I was making a joke about BAE being funded by the UK Government. I'm not sure what your point was. You lost me. But then, I didn't get a lot of sleep last night.

But funding the Reds tour would I assume be a "before tax" item

Are you guys serious about WAGs going out ? For a three week gig? Hell of a different RAF to the one I was in (yeah, I know, long time ago etc etc) but ...............:*

Geordie
They are away for 2 months flying the flag and not in a war zone. They have a few days break in the middle. If WAGs want to pay for flights to join them for a few days of exotic leisure, good for them. Why is that different from your day?

Seems they've reached China ... to a warm welcome:
