I'm shocked.

Few years ago he asked me to contribute some Phantom memories for his book "F4-Phantom" and I enjoyed the conversation with him.

RIP TIM, and good luck west of the rainbow.

Tim used to be a member of another aviation forum which banned him, sometime after I joined the same forum and my posts drew accusations by existing members that I was Tim returning under a different Pseudonym. No matter what I said, they were all sure, flattery indeed.

RIP Tim

Sad loss to all, I have some of his books and very good they are too.

Good God! Never met the chap but, only recently, he very kindly sent me some cracking photographs that he had posted on here in the past and then I and a.n.other assisted him with an article he was putting together for one of Key Publishing's digests!

RIP Tim and condolences to all who loved him and knew him.

Tim could be abrasive, contrarian and controversial, and didn't suffer fools, as they say.

To those who knew him, however, he was generous, good humoured, and funny, and he was utterly devoted to fostering a wider and deeper understanding of the RAF and of military aviation affairs.

He did an extraordinary job at producing good books and bookazines for publishers who paid very little. I still don't know how he did it.

I wish that I'd been better at keeping in touch.

I bought one of his books just before the Dubai air show, and promised that I'd ring him and congratulate him on my return.

Before I could do so, I learned of his death.

RIP, Tim.
