Rule 1 of Effective Sarcasm - you need to spell the name correctly :)

Very dubious about that being from one of the F4Js (Phantom F3) that the RAF had as that is a very old (Vietnam era) helmet type and MBU5P Oxygen mask...

I know I'll get my anorak!

Jet Art are british.... they had a TSR2 engine not so long ago and have sold a few harriers and tornadoes as well.

Unfortunately my F4J is in maintenance right now, otherwise I would have been interested.

Unless there were some anomalies, that is not a 74 Sqn hard hat.

There was no such thing as a 'Phantom F3'. They were only ever known as the F-4J(UK), apparently to avoid confusion with the soon to be entering service, Tornado F.3, not that that makes much sense, since there appeared to be no confusion between the Jaguar and Tornado, both of which were GR.1's at the time...

The didn't the 74 Sqn crew's lids have the visor locking nut thingy running down the centre of the visor cover plate?

They also had MBU12P Oxygen masks - not the 1970/80's vintage MBU5P that this one has!

God we are all such geeks on here! LOL
