I have to admit that, as amazing as the underwater photos are, I did rather lose interest in them when I saw the photographer instead.

I must admit she is rather attractive, she certainly make aviation history more interesting :oh:

With a certain maintenance Company, located near Cambridge, in mind, I'm sure they would be happy to offer restoration advice to restorers of aircraft recovered from The Marshall Islands :rolleyes:

TIP - whenever you are taking a shot of someone wearing their
shades ask them if they wouldn't mind taking them off
or pushing them up

Ms Mueller didn't "discover" them. Their location has been known for years. There are many other photos and articles on the net. More likely she was specifically diving on them. Terrible journalism (by wikipedia).

Using the aviation corrected sliding scale, she's a 9.

Outside of aviation, a 7.

Maybe 700 on the Hellenic scale......

Interesting to see in the photo of USS Boxer that there is a helicopter on station. I didn't know that they routinely had helicopters on board carriers in WW2.

Looks like it could be Cougars on the forward deck park, so I suggest a post-war photo. Possibly Korean era, with a Dragonfly/S-51/HO3S on plane guard. And they were only stopped building Corsairs in 1952!
