Have they got the wheel and fire yet?

Dominator2 15th Jan 2015 08:37

Jeep,

I assume that you mean RAF Valley and not just any valley? The mobile signal will depend on your mobile provider. Maps avail on their web site. WiFi will depend on location on the station in relation to the router. I'm sure a Mess Recepion would be able to help.

Apart from all that, I thought that this was a Forum to discuss matters related to Military Aviation?

I'm on Three Network which seems fine outdoors but gets two-fifths of **** all indoors. Other networks arent great.

WiFi wise, I'm not in the WO & Sgt Mess anymore but I beleive its Tricomms, and from what I can gather its pretty decent.

After all discussions of outside cooking equipment and Susannah York have been completed, naturally.

Sorry Wrath, I was a tad slow.

Dom: aye Raf valley. I can assure u that phone signal is very much tres importante to mil aviation, top flight safety issue. Oh and chill out :O

Thanks for the info chaps - they have a bowling alley and a golf course, all bases covered

Can only vouch for the Officers' Mess. It has Tricomms for wifi, which does daily, weekly or monthly rates and works reasonably well. If you are a BT Internet customer you should find plenty of BT FON hotspots as many of the inmates have BT lines. Rooms have terrestrial and satellite TV sockets. Phone reception was fine for calls but no data on O2.

Thank goodness that I got a reaction from a couple of you. I just thought that most of the threads were getting a little slow and could not miss the opportunity.
No offence meant.

When I arrived at RAF Valley in 1973, they hardly had 'lectric, never mind a bleedin' mobile signal!
