All Black Typhoon...
All Blacks captain Richie McCaw is known for being a fairly grounded Kiwi, but after 100 tests at the helm, he got carried away in a Typhoon fighter jet. With "Squadron Leader R McCaw RNZAF" emblazoned on the side of the jet, the veteran flanker took off from Coningsby RAF base in Lincolnshire, near the east coast of England, for a ride in one of the world's top fighter planes. |
All black Typhoon? I remember formating on this one for HM Queen's Birthday Flypast (it now hangs in the RAF Museum):

Richie loves flying.
Does a lot of gliding in the South Island, where men are men, sheep are scared and you can soar a Harvard in the wave off the Southern Alps. The last point isn't a joke either - done by many an RNZAF stude in days gone by I understand... |
