Drones and the technology that makes it work.

Probably totally off theme, but a fantastic presentation on the technology.... Some clever stuff shown throughout this.

That is just cool. No other word for it.

In three years, Cyberdyne will become the largest supplier of military computer systems. All stealth bombers are upgraded with Cyberdyne computers, becoming fully unmanned. Afterwards, they fly with a perfect operational record. The Skynet Funding Bill is passed. The system goes online on August 4th, 1997. Human decisions are removed from strategic defense. Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware 2:14 AM, Eastern time, August 29th. In a panic, they try to pull the plug....................

Only the names and dates need to be updated!

Cyberdyne must have been built by our favourite aerospace company in the North West as its 17 years late and is yet to reach its performance spec of going 'self aware'! :p

As a control engineer who has dabbled with UAVs, I can assure you the ultimate objective is not world domination but a UAV that can fetch you a fresh cold one from the fridge! (hence the wine glass in the video - the naming of the "skynet" device in the video is just a little joke too)

SP, as a "tape ape" in a FEAF traffic hall, I have to say that when Skynet 1 (b?) came on line in 1969, albeit only for a short time, it revolutionised comms to the uk.
