Cheating: we found an antidote to cheating by prospective sim instructor students in an oil rich kingdom. Having twigged early that the bright kid would whisper in arab scribble speak to his mates the aswers to any test, each student had a paper with the same vote for joe questions, just not in the same order. So they were ticking the correct answer to the wrong question. The amusing bit was the loud complaints when results were published - "Mister B, how can this be, Bishi has 90% and I have only 30%, I should have the same because he tol......oops".

Interesting then that every question in the US ATPL bank is available online officially. (Something to do with Freedom of Information). If I mug up on the questions before taking the tick-box exam am I cheating?

No - you are showing how keen you are to pass, hopefully some of the answers will stick in your brain and you need a damn good memory as well
