Are you older than your Squadron number?
 

Random thought last night! What is the age of the oldest person who is older than his largest Squadron number? For example, for me I will have to pass 74 years old (74(F) Sqn). I have already passed 8 and 25, 56 next year (hopefully!) then it is the long haul to 74.

I reckon there may be some WW2 guys on 100 Sqn or 101 Sqn could beat that.

As I said....just a thought!

Aged my Squadron Around Puberty…..but just quietly, I never grew up.

Some would struggle to match their IQ scores against their Squadron number :p:p

There are several Yodas on 660 and 705 at Shawbury who passed the relevant age a long time ago...

I've already cracked 4, 6, 16 and 19 but I'm going to struggle to outlive my current Sqn. 419!

Not much hope - 360 and 361

No chance for VGS mates either :{

29 Sqn - done.
43 Sqn - done.
63 Sqn - a way to go yet.
95th Ftr Sqn - a long way to go yet.
228 OCU - unlikely
229 OCU - even more unlikely.

Ho hum.

Just retired aged 55, matching one of the best Sqn's I had the privilege to be on.
