Budweiser's new advert, Red White and Blue Summer and all things American
Very Patriotic.... Cough cough.... Check it out at about the 12 seconds mark.... Oops
:E |
That is gold.
I wonder if anyone has pointed that out to them ? |
I wonder what the exec who passed the Ad is thinkinh now.:O
|
Ok...I'll bite. Where is it?
|
Buster
About 12 seconds in, a fleeting front on view of the Red Arrows 9 ship with Red, White and Blue smoke. It does look very American :O |
Oh, okay. At 12 seconds there's a view of a City from a park that, with a quick glance, resembles Perth, but clearly isn't. Didn't even think about the T-45's....:p
If anyone needs further proof... http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2012/...46_968x646.jpg |
A USAF mate of mine keeps looking at it and is getting wound up that I wont tell him whats wrong with it heh,heh
|
dctyke
Now that is funnier than the Red Arrows actually being in the Video !!! Would like to be there when he finds out. |
@dctyke
Maybe you should tell him on Traitors' Day just to cap it off for him:E:E |
If it is the Reds then Bud should be paying a slab to the Reds' charity, the Red Arrows Trust
|
"Goddamit!! perhaps we should have got a SME to check out the video first"
:p |
Love the tune and effective brand positioning. Always good value to have a pop at Uncle Sam (is Prism watching? :ooh:). That aside, what a nice idea. Bells and Glengoyne did it with whisky this year.

I just showed the footage to a US colleague and he said:
By their look they are definitely not USAF or USN so they are not a US demonstration team. US military footage would not be usable in commercial so they shopped elsewhere I suspect. I then put him out of his misery...and pointed out how patriotic the Royal Air Force Red Arrows were... |
Yep, sure is ironic to see a non-US team displaying the Red, White, and Blue colors in their act.
One wonders what country comes to mind with those colors? Besides, the USAF Auxiliary is a fine wing with great people; happy to have them advertising for a nice cold Bud...:E |
We all know (don't we?) what John Cleese said about american "beer" - and in any case, REAL Budweiser comes from just east of Germany.

Judging by the size of the satellite dish outside Buckingham Palace I'd say the queen is definitely working class:\

Brick,
An ice cold American beer certainly is something to behold thats for sure. If you fancy something with a bit more bite and body though, have you considered tonic water? |
have you considered tonic water? But I still think it's cool that the Reds overflew one of Trump's mansions... |
Brick.....you do mean the 2nd Auxillary.....as the Civil Air Patrol holds claim to the title you recall.:=
