Not with those transparencies.

That's what you call instrument flying.

Was there last week, it looked great. The museum had a special tour going, a tram was taking participant around to all the aircraft of British lineage. The Lighting had its canopy open, and were allowing visitors to sit in it. Quite the tight fit. It was a good representation, all looked quite nice except for the Gannet. That thing has a face only a mother could love.

Last flew on 790 on 21 Jan 1988. Looks to clean needs a little oil on the airframe.

As a lad I used to visit 8 Squadron at Lossiemouth and see some of these machines just after a major. I have to say, the paint job here looks as good as anything the guys at Lossie would roll out.

What’s the story with the cockpit windows? Are they away for repar or something? They look a tad Airfix

Probably anti-sun. The Arizona sun does not look kindly on plexiglas.

Yup, to protect the glass and the interior one would think, she was donated as srhe required resparring and although it had CAA permission to return to the UK for the work to be carried out, I seem to remember it would have cost several million to complete.

There are a lot more photos here

Wonder if they could get together with the lads and lasses at Coventry and approach (I assume BAe) for a price for resparring 2 a/c which would probably save a fair bit of money.
