Joe Saunders - Britannia Navigator 99Sqn - R.I.P.
 

I Trust Mods won't find this a cheek, but I posted on "Where are they Now" and only had 1 reply from 300 viewings so far.

I was a Nav on Andovers before befriending Joe on my move to Brits in '74. Went to visit the 'auld sod yesterday at North Cotswolds Hospital, near Moreton in Marsh.
Joe's health 'aint too clever at the moment and so self and coupla chums trying to reach out to Joe's friends of yesteryear so they can know circumstance sooner rather than later and send any messages / make contact as appropriate.

It is with much sadness that I must now advise that Joe slipped away peacefully this evening at 1825. Funeral arrangements will be posted here as and when known, but date will be at least a fortnight hence.
One can only give thanks for a good friend and for his swift merciful release from pain.
