What about two Jags Prescott?

I have no doubt ALL candidates give a CV to tell those bothering to vote what they have done in life. I see nothing wrong in that.

From me me me me me me Harrier me me's Bio

Experience of steering an organisation through change: I have been faced with the need for deep organizational (shafting) change during my RAF career, not least in my last appointment when I brought together 2 separate HQs (separately totaling some 3300 personnel), melding them into a single HQ of 2300 personnel without any reduction in necessary outputs. :ok:

And we all lived happily ever after!

BOAC 14th Nov 2012 13:25

I don't believe it, said Victor -it's LOD THE PLOD.

mike-wsm 14th Nov 2012 13:32

Dunno what Harrier pilots do but all the Canberra pilots I ever met run second-hand shops. Usually under fancy names like Art Gallery or Fine Antiques. Same difference.

If he is elected I wonder which train he will have the Force on?

(PS As I am now out where did the infamous train to Glasgow get?)

VinRouge 14th Nov 2012 18:06

I wonder If he will use his own version of leadership and get a significant percentage of his workforce to resign after an attrocious self-centred speech, like he did at lyneham back in 06/07?

Jobza Guddun 14th Nov 2012 18:42

2Planks:-

It's still valiantly trying to get there. However, the terminus seems to change when the train gets close. What also doesn't help is occasionally the train has to stop because the driver hasn't spent enough time doing pointless repetitive shat.

I would batter my tongue with a steak tenderiser before voting for that man.

Pontius Navigator 14th Nov 2012 18:47

With a field of 3, a Tory, and a knight, he may be a shoo in

Unless of course the centre of gravity is Leicester and different from what we might expect.

I suspect that the major population centres in Lincolnshire, like around the prison, may vote differently from the unspeakable in the rural areas.

Agaricus bisporus 14th Nov 2012 18:48

He'll get to show us gash amateur civvies how to do it properly of course.

As a harrier pilot he knows all about policing, and once a policeman he'll know everything about everything so he's the perfect candidate. This is Nobel prize territory - the invention of perpetual motion in human form; producing infinite output from an original content of zero and with an unlimited amount of hot air as the by-product.

Perhaps if he needs a little hobby on his weekends off

LOD the Plod

I think LOD is a natural, inspirational leader who always left an outfit better than he found it. He has the uncanny knack of making people feel really good about themselves, their chain of command and their Service.

He would never let the occasional display of the human condition colour his judgement for the rest of his life and he would most certainly not make written mention of how a chap's wife contributed, or not, to Service life in formal appraisals.

I also believe that the BBC is a well-governed, well-led organisation and that its News division is scrupulously impartial, especially on the EU, the Euro and man-made global warming.

Don't have nightmares.

:D:D:D. . .

NutLoose 14th Nov 2012 22:01

Well as he is in my voting region tomorrow and I won't be voting for him.

Interesting combinations

Paired with his campaign agent you have

Loader Bowles

And paired with his media manager you get

Loader Fuchs

Reading some of his blurb about putting through cuts etc you have

Loader Cr*p

There seems to be better candidates

Hueymeister 15th Nov 2012 04:13

I had the (mis)fortune to have to listen to his diatribe of utter twaddle back in 07. Apparently if I didn't like the train to Glasgow I should get off. He didn't mention if it would stop. Best of all, he banged on about the Typhoon to a room full of rotary dudes. Feat of comprehensive @rse. A number of people considered throwing themselves under his train. Tw@t. :*:ugh:

I am just happy that this thoroughly unpleasant individual is no longer in the RAF. Why anyone would want to have him running anything is beyond me.

CoffmanStarter 15th Nov 2012 07:39

Words on the loss of the Harrier ... not many "celebrated" I'll bet :(

NutLoose 15th Nov 2012 23:00

Well I got my vote in today, you have a first and a second choice, he never made either slot on my voting slip.

sisemen 16th Nov 2012 00:46

Given the predilections of VSOs to have skeletons rattling around in cupboards (channeling Harding, Petraeus etc etc) one wonders what will eventually come out about this individual.

airpolice 16th Nov 2012 06:57

He claims to have flown the Harrier throughout his career.

I now understand where they get this notion of superiority. Mere mortals had to start on Grob/Bulldog then progress through the JP, Gnat/Hawk/Hunter route to the Harrier, but he's always been a Harrier Pilot.

Wow!

teeteringhead 16th Nov 2012 08:47

You are mean ... poor chap will need a little extra dosh to eke out his paltry 4-star pension.....

Dunno what they get in Leicester & Rutland, but I believe the PCC here in Teeteringshire will be on about £75K ......
