'things you never hear' ;)

So good, they made a movie of it. Marine Williams, the abseiler, was injured by an IED while driving a Jackal in Afghanistan in 2008. The explosion killed a close friend and injured another.Pr00ne - If you can't tell the difference between a Royal Marine and a Sea King, perhaps it's time for some recognition training. ;)

Nice one, must have glued his beret on this time, after handing over the flame one wonders if he is now manning a car park for G4S.

Well G4S does now stand for Grateful for Soldiers, so quite possibly.

Good effort lads. A nice bit of PR.

Wokkamate, absolutely spot on. As we both know, the Junglies are normally quietly and professionally getting on with the job in hand, without the Pomp and Ceremony that others seem to need.

It didn't take long for the bitter and twisted to show their face though!

Shirley accepted as such without a PC Plod intervention.

Nice one CHF - impressively done and a touching back story.

And good effort OA64 - a superbly truculent response to an undoubtedly light-hearted comment. You are to be congratulated.....:ugh:

Melchett01 21st Jul 2012 17:56

FODPlod,

Quite right, just happened to pinch it from a friend who is a 'Brown Job'.

OA64 21st Jul 2012 19:43

Undoubtedly light hearted, Roger;)

Anyway, let's get this back on track. Well done lads :ok:

A lovely photograph and good report here Flame-ing impressive arrival | Royal Navy

ramp_up 23rd Jul 2012 17:27

Was a good job. Praise where due. Shame they didn't have anyone qualified to complete the Flame DG assessment though.

Mick Strigg 24th Jul 2012 07:06

Just adding another post to put this thread back at the top of page one, as it isn't often that the Navy gets praise on here, especially from some Crabs!
