Is Chris Golds still around?
 

Forty years ago Chris did a piece of bespoke artwork for me. Anyone know if he is still around?

Last heard of a couple of years ago still living in Devon. Sorry can't be of more help.

He appears on Search for People, Businesses and Places - 192.com, in Devon, but you have to open an account and buy credits to access the info. They have his phone number for a fee but it is not on BT.Com

Do you mean the Chris Golds who was a Hunter pilot at one time ?

I'll be seeing him on 5th Nov at a reunion. As far as I know he no longer paints. Any message?

Tell him I'd like him to touch up the error he made in my painting bought from him in 1960s. ;)

Good to hear - I remember with great relish from any moons ago his 'History of Aviation' (with soundtrack) - at Chiv, I think.

Not to mention the thousand bomber raid and the first solo. :ok:

Chris is also a regular contributor to a model aircraft magazine called RCM&E. He designs and builds some fantastic scale models.

These days mainly for RC Model World and Quiet & Electric Flight...:ok:

I knew Chris in Cyprus. If he is still around, and you see him, ask him if he remembers a dogfight with a Hastings. I was on 70 and he on 43.
