Gentlemen, I wouldn't normally poke my nose in here, but this would appear to be an aircraft of the Moroccan Air Force, not the RAF as has been stated above.
Presently being discussed in the Military Forum. |
Yes None of the above it is from the Royal Air Force....of Morocco! There are more Royal Air Forces around in this world...

There is The Royal Air Force RAF and the others ie. RAAF, Royal Moroccan Air Force etc.

Au contraire! The 'Royal Air Force' is so named to acknowledge the fact that it was the World's FIRST 'Air Force'. From wikipedia: The RAF is the world's oldest independent air force: that is, the first air force to become independent of army or navy control.[3] It was founded on 1 April 1918 So all others are named in such a way as to avoid the confusion we have seen here. Simples! :ok: Deepest condolences to all the families of those involved. |
From terrible disaster affecting our fellow airmen, to childish niff naff in less than 10 posts.:=

That C-130 looks more like a CN-135 to me.:hmm:
|

Its this C-130H Photos: Lockheed RC-130H Hercules Aircraft Pictures | Airliners.net |
Sorry, I should have said CN--235.
Agree the reg is a C-130 and that's what you see in the BBC video. But have a closer look at the tail, that might be a C-130 but then again might be a CN-235, it's not unknown for serials in this part of the world to travel across types. |
Condolences to all...yet again.
