What's this?
Ok folks, what's this and what memories does it provoke? (the lump of aluminium, not the Fosters!)

It's a blank space in Mozilla Firefox... and a little square with a red cross in IE8...
It doesn't bring back many memories I'm afraid... ;) |
KAF/Basrah 2004-
Getting smashed whilst hiding booze like naughty little schoolboys from pig thick army RSMs in "Tom, Dick and Harry". |
Can of gnat's piss?
Dunno, but the photo next to it is a Weber One Touch 22.5" Kettle Grill . Older model with wooden handles and plate-type ash catcher. Circa 1995 vintage, I should think. |
Is that the cocktail bar in the 5* Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney?
(if I win can I NOT have a can of Fosters as my prize?) |
(the lump of aluminium, |
By the Weber there seem to be four or more fire extinguishers? Where were they liberated from?
I think we should be told. |
It provokes bad memories of Standards visits.:uhoh:
I don't think the question was ever actually asked but everyone knew how many large and how many small holes were in each airbrake. |
It's a field latrine in Lilliput.
|
Are the holes the average diameter of a WRAFs cl*nge?

Your cover is now well and truly blown old fella! I'm assuming that's the airbrake that will take pride of place in your new home made BBQ as a luxury drinks holder? If so, I will be at the 1st BBQ next summer.:ok: |
Is it what the future of new (old) Nimrods looks like?

Is it what the future of new (old) Nimrods looks like? Happy times |

Is it the Flt Ops aptitude test? Only they leave out the tricky square pegs?

Yeller Gait - nearly: 21 & 16 !!!

It appears to be a combined beer can holder and urinal. Beer in the large holes, then, when the requirement exists, tadger in t'other.
In the case of Fosters, it might be simpler just to pour the amber nectar straight down the smaller hole and leave out the middle man? At least the mighty Weber would seem to use decent fuel, rather than the by-products of Satan's bottom! |
Looks like an flying control counterbalance weight,Elevator ?
|
tis a Nimrod MR2 airbrake, fondly regarded by most who spent hours peering out of the beam observation windows, the airbrakes breaking the monotony by peeping out occasionally when the pilots got bored.
Otherwise known as perfectly formed receptacles for stopping your tinnie rolling off the wing during an airshow.... Happy, happy days :) |
.........and long, long gone. Thanks for the giggles though Starboard Beam. It was fun whilst it lasted. And this thread lasted longer than the operational life of the MRA4. Give yourself 4 billion quid and a pat on the back. :\
